I hope they give me one. I pre-ordered a watch back in Feb '14 too.

Based on deekay's comment, I checked my paypal account. Sure enough, I was issued a full refund on 4/24.
I imagine that pre-orders are getting refunded to avoid legal action, but that KS backers are SOL.
Sad I'll never get one of these watches, but damn am I happy to have my $ back.

Interesting that both of you paid with paypal and got a refund. I still haven't seen my refund. What pre-order number are you?

I'm a pre-order person as well. I just checked my PayPal account and saw a reversal on 4/24 as well. It should show up on my credit card sometime today. I checked the notes in the PayPal Resolution Center and it appears they sent an email to the seller (Dave/CST) on 4/24 and got the money from CST directly. I am not sure if this was initiated by someone contacting PayPal, PayPal themselves or by Dave at CST. I am curious now if they even created the nearly +900 watches with the low yields. I expected as a pre-orderer that I would get one from that batch. At least now I can stop my daily vigil of Kickstarter. Hopefully the backers will now see that this is most definitely a lost cause. Would have been nice to get one though.

I hope they are just going down the line of pre-orders. I'm #5952. Finders crossed to see a refund appear this week. I didn't use paypal, so hopefully it's not paypal specific.

I'm sorry to said this but the refunds aren't happening. They don't have enough to refund everyone. I'm 5000+. Those that got their refunds are very lucky. I doubt we will get any real answers on how it end up like this. The cost to make the watches are 2x what backer paid for. Did know this at the very beginning? They string us pre-orderer along too. In the end they don't really have anything to show us with the money spent. They don't even have actually inventory to show us they claim to have spent it on. As retarded as this might sound they should at least give us an option to properly fund the production. At least that way people actually something to show with their money. But only if they provide proof of their inventories and a written contract to show from Flextronics. That's a pipe dream and it's very unlikely to happen. I'm guessing they might have came to the actual cost of production very late in the project. This article came out today and I expect to more to come but it doesn't tell us anything we didn't know. observer.com/2015/04/did-the-creators-of-a-1m-kickstarter-botch-production-or-blow-the-cash-on-mojitos/

Hello everybody,
I just want to report I got a refund.
I preordered (via centralstandardtiming.com) in Feb 2014. Ordered one watch & charger ($162.60 w shipping). Order ID 6975. Money were taken instantly of course. I filed a dispute/complaint on PayPal some months ago (even though PayPal told me I am past the date for dispute & refund).
** I received a refund (Reversal) of $162.60 via PayPal to my CCard on Apr 24 2015. **
Seeing some people with Order on. lower then me supposedly didn't receive a refund yet - might my PayPal dispute have something to do with my refund ?
Keeping my fingers crossed for rest of those who preordered and the Kickstarter backers !

CC companies do this as well. If that is indeed what is happening, then you can be assured that paypal's lawyers are gearing-up to sue the company.

So far 3 people with refunds and all 3 used paypal. Will I ever see my refund? Maybe. I received a letter from the Attorney Generals Office in Illinois stating they sent my complaint to CST and will update me on what they hear back. That's all I have left to hang on.

I was one of the lucky ones who actually received a watch. Got it February 2 or 3, 2015. Only took it out of the box once, discovered I should've ordered a large rather than a medium, and put it back in the box. Thinking they were finally shipping *all* of the watches, I emailed hoping I could arrange an exchange for a large. Of course, I never heard back.
